Artwork Submissions

Women & Their Work presents five solo exhibitions a year.  Artists chosen to exhibit their work receive an honorarium, a color brochure with a commissioned essay and images of their work.  Artists are encouraged to premier new work.

To be considered for a solo show, applicants must be female, Texas residents, and nominated by a contemporary art professional.  An art professional may be a professor of studio art, a gallery or museum director, an art critic, or an independent curator.  Once nominated, artists will be asked to submit a portfolio.  An artist advisory panel evaluates the applicants on the strength of their work and then selects the individuals for exhibition.

Nominations for the exhibition year 2011 will be submitted in Nov. & Dec. 2009. If you are an artist, just ask a professional to nominate you.
