Artwork Submissions
Women & Their Work presents five solo exhibitions a year. Artists chosen to exhibit their work receive an honorarium, a color brochure with a commissioned essay and images of their work. Artists are encouraged to premier new work.
To be considered for a solo show, applicants must be women, Texas residents, and nominated by a contemporary art professional. An art professional may be a professor of studio art, a gallery or museum director, an art critic, or an independent curator. Any one interested in nominating regional artists should email info@womenandtheirwork.org to get on the list. Once nominated, artists will be asked to submit a portfolio of 20 images online. An artist advisory panel (made of staff and past solo artists) evaluates the applicants on the strength of their work and then selects the individuals for exhibition.
Each year W&TW also organizes group and solo shows that feature artists from all over the world. For more information please contact .
The nomination process for the exhibition year 2012 will begin in Sept. 2010. If you are an artist, ask your Texas gallerist to submit your name to us for consideration.
